CHANGELOG

2006/10/10
- Added a check that removes the Add History control when the Overview is minimized. Thanks to marcelo for the help in getting the event. This led to a bug when adding an item when the Overview control was minimized.

2006/10/07
- Trying to guess the altitude of the point of view to have  a better export of placemarks to Google Earth. Not finished...

2006/10/05
- Implemented a rudimental export to KML (Google Earth Placemarks file)
- Mmm... there are some problems with hybrid maps saved to history in Internet Explorer...
- Sorry but the first test histories saved have been scrambled... my fault... (I think a strange behaviour in phpMyAdmin...)

2006/10/04
- Now it restores the map type...
- Started working on a method to delete single items of the history
- There is now a check to prevent users from saving empty histories...

This is a test... an idea to use the GOverviewMapControl data to build an history of locations visited in the normal use of Google Maps.

1) I have added a custom control Add to History above the overview control that add the contents of the overview to the History div.
When you click on each element of the History you go to related location.
Holding down the Shift key You can choose a title for the History element...
2) You can load one of the saved Histories...
3) You can save an history giving it a name... a date is automatically added... but you have to reload the page to see the history added to the select box... You can not save a history if it is empty.
3) You can now export an history to a KML file for use in Google Earth... (20061005)

You can use the Search Address to find a specific location. Multiple result for an address are not handled the first result is taken.

This is a test so I don't know for how long I'll leave these pages alive...

Let me know if you have comments on it...

The code is not polished... and I have not tested it in many browser (only IE6 / FF1.5). You are warned...
